We were delighted to work with North Lincolnshire Council and their HAF Fuelled programme. Affectionately known as our Summer Band Camp. We enjoyed lots of activities this summer, utilising the outdoor gym and park equipment at Baysgarth Park, various arts and crafts, brass and percussion sessions and performances, rock painting and pantomimes. All washed down with plenty of juice and snacks and a hearty lunch to keep us fuelled!!
The Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF), is funded by the Department for Education, and is aimed primarily at children and young people who receive benefits-related free school meals. It offers free holiday activities, including opportunities for at least one hour of physical activity, healthy food, nutritional education and wider support for families.
This is one of our highlights of the year, working with these incredible young people, exploring their talents and helping them grow their social networks and confidence.
For now though it's a wrap (as they say!) , so from us all here at the band, enjoy the rest of your summer holidays!
For more information about this event or the band, please text Jay on 07879 777267.

We had an amazing Easter Band Camp as part of the North Lincolnshire Council HAF Fuelled up events this spring with lots of children joining us for fun, games, crafts and of course some music.
Our lunches were kindly provided by Rebecca's Licensed Tearooms here in Barton (we like to work with local people).
Our next activity days will be in summer. Once we have details confirmed with the HAF Fuelled up team at North Lincolnshire Council, we will be sure to let you know!
